S60 t6 awd 2013 muffler delete

Hi, I just bought myself my first volvo, it's a s60 polestar tuned r-design and it doesn't sound loud enough in my opinion. Any one got a muffler delete on it or a straight pipe configuration on ther car. I live in Canada so it get cold out and I don't want it to loud where my neighbors would cry for help every morning. Thanks for your suggestion and ideas.

You'll probably hate it after the novelty wears out and you'd be wishing for the quietness and smoothness of the OEM muffler.
Just my personal opinion, obviously.

Yup, you'd be better off adding something like a Magnaflow muffler, it made my T6 a little louder, but not obnoxiously so. There are also electronic exhaust cut outs that you can install, if you look on YouTube there is video on there of someone running the cut out.
Having driven several, would advise against a full on muffler delete. It does make it louder, but it doesn't at all sound good. A proper high flow muffler will sound much better.

(I run a Magnaflow 12265 with stock everything else, really love it. No drone and loud enough).

I also had the Magnaflow 12265 on my T5 (5-cylinder). No drone either. Very quiet on the highway. I removed it when the welds rusted and replaced with a generic quiet muffler.
I have the elevate exhaust and it definitely made it a lot louder but not too crazy. I put a down pipe on about a year later and it made it louder but tolerable. Cold starts are pretty loud but there isn’t any drone which you would probably get if you cut off the muffler

I have the iPd system with DP and do88 intake.
It is loud and the Mrs now hates freeway riding with me

You (and your neighbours) will go mad due to the noise in the morning if you straight pipe it or delete the muffler/resonator (especially off cold starts). Better for the sake of your sanity to go for one of the many options that the other members have mentioned.

I personally have the Heico Turboback (Performance DP w/Race Cat, Catback & Tips). Plenty sound, plenty loud but perfect for me. That said, I would not advise my friends or family to stand near the car during a cold start without plugging their ears first….just saying…
