Someone told me this is how it works. I haven't tried it myself, so let us know if it works.

To turn the S60 service light off do the following:

1) key off
2) press and hold tripmeter reset button
3) turn key to position 2 for 10-12 seconds
4) when "service" light flashes
5) release button and remove key
6) done

Not quite correct:

Start with key in Position 1:

1) key in Position 1
2) press and hold tripmeter reset button
3) turn key to position 2 while still holding reset button
4) when "service" light flashes release button
5) done

That procedure does not work for the MY2002 S60 as it does not have a service light. The correct procedure is:
1. Turn the ignition key to position I
2. Press and hold the trip reset button and wait for the odometer to set to zero
3. Turn the ignition key to position II, and watch the odometer
4. When the previously displayed miles reappears, release the trip reset button

Thanks.
No no no , you got it all wrong.

Turn ignition key
Select gear
Push throttle
Keep pushing until approaching a Volvo dealer
Turn wheel until the VADIS diagnostic system appears in the middle of the wind screen.
Push brake
trun ignition to the off position.
Ask mechanic to rest the service light and make sure he can earn a little money to support his wife and kids at home.

See, very simple
