hi all,

i just registered @ swedespeed and I really like to write these 4 letters: S60 R, S60 R S60 R...

lets talk about the price... what could such a perfect car cost?

USD 50k, 60k or even 70k?
(and there is at least a pack of USD 10k for the extras...)

USD 45.000 ?? thats much to cheap i think

if this car should be targeting M3 or S4's... then it should be at least 50k...

but i want to believe what u said, so we can be really happy

is the power of this car not too much for the gear and chassis?

They also have to establish themselves. I don't think the next S4 will be more than $50K, so the S60 will have to come in under that.

but tell me know - the car has 300Hp and 400 NM
isnt this a bit too much for the gearbox/clutch etc used in the other S60... or have they been modified or even replaced by other/better parts??

its a 6 speed manual, 5 speed geartronic... i think

both are upgraded and can fully support the power.. why would anyone release a car that can not handle the power?

I agree. In order for the S60R to sell, I think it has to be priced slightly below the S4.

I looked at the article on the homepage and Volvo is quoting a 5.8 second time to 100 km/h. Does this sound conservative to anyone? I'm guessing the S60R is lighter or the same weight as the last gen S4 and it has more power. The S4 has been tested in around 5.5 seconds so wouldn't one think the S60R will be more like low 5's?

Maybe it's geared differently or something.

well,.. I have a V40 T4 and this one has 300Nm torque - But the gear and clutch etc. are the original ones and that means that if you always or driving at the limit then u might have to repair sone parts as it is just too much for this small car...

5.8 sounds ok, i would like to have him under 5.5 but easy, always depende on who is driving him

Does somebody know the exact time of release?
somewhere around March? or even April May?

Mine is doing ~450 Nm and no problems. (so far)
