So we didn't have rain tires for the Civic and it was pouring cats and dogs so I decided to grab the S60 and do a lap in the TT session. Crap all season tires but I was impressed with it. Everyone I passed came up to me afterwards impressed with the car, I only did a out lap and in lap as I didn't want to beat on it to bad with stock brakes and fluid.

Picture I ordered, I had to take a picture of the lap top screen so it's kinda crappy.

Cool....stability control on or off?
Off, but it never "REALLY" turns off. It did at the end of the first lap flash up on the dash saying Stability Control Temporarily off. It did that to me when I took it around the Ring on OSD. I don't know what triggers it to go into that mode, but it turns right back on the moment you back off.

The car estimates brake temperatures based on duty cycle and such, and will turn of DSTC completely if it thinks the brakes are too hot (again, based on duty cycle calculations/estimates, and likely other parameters). I triggered this once on my P2 S60R at a track day. I am surprised you managed to trigger it in only two laps of Sebring though... and in the wet even... makes me wonder if it's actually detecting brake fade with the accelerometers? It took me nearly an hour of hot-lapping BIR in the dry to trigger it on my P2 R...
You can see it happen coming into T17 on my out lap. I was braking from almost 120 mph.

I wonder if there is a way I can trigger it to turn off for autox. Iirc I can legally unplug something to disable dstc systems the way the rules are written.

I've been on Road America, but not BIR. From talking to friends that did the One Lap at BIR it's got a LONG straight. Road America has VERY long straights between the hard brake zones so I don't recall it being a particularly hard track on brakes.

The other car I drove this weekend. Set a Track record in the class (one I've been hunting for a while). Stole it from a Grand-am driver, Who stole it from another grand-am driver.

Wow, wow, wow! The two videos should really be watched back-to-back. Sure, Volvo is a bit under 20 seconds slower -- in the freaking wet -- but it remains quiet and almost entirely drama free. I mean you can barely hear the tires, but you can hear the dude in front... that is while he is in front :p
Just wow.
My S60 was on Michelin All Season Tires in the Pouring Rain. It did a 3:03 from pit out to pit out (didn't cross start finish twice). And Fastest Time any car (race car group included) did in the rain that morning was a 3:05. So all things said the big girl hauled herself around pretty good.
