I had a strange 'creaking' sound coming from the front of my 2002 S60 2.0t SE. It did it when ever the engine moved, i.e, pulling away or slowing down using the gears. I've now sussed that it's the front wishbone front bushes being worn that does it. It causes the hub to make the creaking sound. BEWARE though!! I disassembled my wishbone and attempted to fit the new bush (which volvo charged me £38+VAT each). Could I get the old one out? Only with a blowtorch and big hammer!!! then, to top it all, i accidentally pulled the driveshaft out of the gearbox when doing the other side. DON'T DO THIS!!! I still can't get the damned thing back in!
