I want to buy a new S60 2.4T w/premium package, cold weather package, geartronic transmission and 17" tethys wheels. I have read in this forum a few of the upgrades such as available xenon's, color matched body molding and a 2.5T engine w/increased hp. Can anyone advise me of source of this information (magazine, web-site, etc.). Im trying to debate weather I should wait or not. I was previously advised to wait but if my salesman makes me a great offer I may go with a 2002.

The 2003 S60 2.4T will not (obviously) get a 2.5T engine, only AWD models will get the extra tenth of a liter. NO xenons for MY2003.

Get one now, especially if you are loking to lease. You will not see such steep discounts andgreat lease programs for 2003.

Thank you for the advice. I been planning to buy but it may be wise for me to lease and use addition cash I saved for down payment to invest. One salesman told me that he made one deal were the customer leased, planned to buy at end of lease and the total estimated price he will be paying comes out cheaper than if he bought with average finance rate. Does this sound accurate ?.

Hmmm, I am not sure...normally I would say "no way, Jose". But the effective lease rate for the S60, right now, is 0.02% (almost 0%), so he may be right. I did a few leases this past week and the monthly lease charge (a.k.a. finance charge) for an S60 2.4 A SR was $1.57/month! That's almost like a free layaway plan! So, he may be right since the rate is almost 0%.

Very good observation! Might be a Spy picture of the facelifted S80. I have never seen those guages on any Volvo, that is for sure.

In the list of changes for MY03 I posted above, which I got from my dealer. It's an official list from Volvo.
(Please see my post above)

Well, the list of changes for S80 (if that pic is from an S80) doesn't say anything about interior changes, except new "Mesh" inlay. So I don't know if the new S80 will have those guages.

You can tell it is not an S60 from the door panel; it is missing the door speakers that are unique to the S60.

Could also be the...XC70!
