The new S60 AWD will use Haldex AWD for sure. The real big question however, will be how Volvo will program the torque split between the front and rear axle. I think that the S60R PCC has 50/50 front to rear bias. It would be nice if Volvo did it that way for the regular S60 models as well.

Also, you should be able to get the S60 AWD TDS with no problem. It might be a month or so later when they make their TDS prices official. I hope they bring AWD for all models including the T5. A T5 AWD would be a fantastic car, giving the niche A4 3.0 Quattro a run for its money.

i have heard 2.4T only. my guess, and I will say that i have thought this through, is for 3 reasons: volvo may be hoping that the 2.4T will be the "volume" variant of the S60s, so offer AWD in that variant and hope for the best. second reason is price - a T-5 with AWD would be way too close for comfort price-wise with the S80 2.9. another reason would be the 2.4T comes in automatic only, an easier way to slip AWD into the S60 mix than the T-5.
