I currently have a S40 T5 FWD but was looking at trading it in for the AWD before tuning it. What is your opinion? Is this a valid switch, or should I just stick with the FWD? Other than FWD there is nothing else I would change as far as options from the manufacturer.

Re: S40 T5 FWD or AWD which in your opinion is better for tuning? (ismetopher)

I would just stick with the fwd, after all you have it already. I have a V50 T5 fwd which I'm starting to mod. got the bsr stage 3 on order , 3"dp and exhaust and k+n . should be around 275 hp . and some more serious torque. 300 ft/lbs plus. a lot of power for fwd? yes , too much ? don't think so. another plus to me at least is the fwd sits about an inch lower so IMO looks sportier. if the awd provides better launches handles the power better etc, perhaps , but I'm happy with the fwd and I'll know soon enough if it's up for the additional power.

If you have stock 16s or 17s then yes , you have 205s namely a 205 55 16 or a 205 50 17. a 235 40 18 WILL fit. as well as a 235 45 17. I am currently running a 235 40 18 on a 18 x 8 , 45 offset. no problems

I went with tire.coms ATS wheel. it was on sale for like $115 each at the time. Tires were like $135 went with Falken ziex 512 all seasons. better than I expepted in the winter for an 18 inch all season, but not as good as conti 2 in the summer or the rain.
