Hi guys.

Today i had some time and i dissassemby my cluster to change faulty LEDs.

I have some pics to show. I searched online but little info about this subject, so, here you have;)

1 - First you have 2 screws on yellow;
2 - Press green arrow down and to your direction while pressing red arrows up a little bit, to loose the thing...then you have two fixations on the bottom, just pull it to you.

3 - Remove those red arrows screws;
4 - Now, you have to be very carefull, cluster it's "locked" on the back. DO NOT PULL TO YOUR DIRECTION, you'll break it! Lift the cluster with some gentle force, and when you feel the cluster released, you can pull it to you and unplug the connections. One it's green in the top of the cluster, and the other one it's white on the bottom.

This is good stuff. I just pulled apart a cluster from a 2008 junk yard V50 to get the trim rings and the black face card. I might try to convert my 2005 cluster.

So are you going to try and solder in replacement led's that are just like those? I have the same issue w/ my 05 and managed to disassemble a junkyard cluster to realize I may not have skill to replace little LEDs like those without doing more damage.

Hi mate...

This kind of job it's very simple for those who has some knowledge with soldering/eletronics.
The "main course" of this service it's to substitute faulty LEDs by a new ones (2 euro you bought more than enough for the job), i hav some LED bars so i still it from them :).

This is the final result :) :)

Nice job.

Do you have some specs for the led's you used? I'm sure sooner or later I will get my nerve up and do the job.
