Hi Everyone,

I have a rattle sound coming out of my transmission. I can hear it clearly when I drive next to a wall any object that would repel the sound.
I've jacked up the wheel today and turned the wheel on the passenger side while in Neutral.
This is the sound:

I know I have a noisy bearing, you can probably hear that as well at a lower spectrum (There is also a fan running in the background), but the high pitch rattle is coming from the transmission and not from the hub.

Any idea what this could be?

Some new information:
The sound is still there when I take it out to neutral and let it roll.
No sound when the car is not moving, regardless to whether it is in D or in N.

I've ruled out the hub bearing and the rotor shield. I believe it is most likely either:
- The bearing that support the hollow spline shaft inside the differential part of the transmission
- Carrier bearing
- CV inner joint

I've removed the driver side CV axle.

The inner joint is in very good condition
The the carrier bearing feels dry, but does not have any slack in it.
