Curious to see if anybody has tried this. I would much rather give this a shot than spraying the tails. only concerns are how they make a pre-cut tint for such an oddly shaped tail. Let me know if anybody has had any experience with Rvinyl.

I ordered a custom set from them, installation was super awkward, had over lapping flaps, and was more brown than black IMO. I I even had an extra set made and with sharp angles I could never get it to lay correctly. I ended up getting them professionally sprayed in the end and glad I did.

I sprayed mine with a can of $6 rust-oluem tint spray and they look great, had enough left over to do my side marker lights and my friends rear tails also. Just do it :D

I really like it! The tint seems to have a decent gloss to it. Any clear or sanding?

I've been considering some of the tint spray on my R's taillights, I love the look against the Ti.

No sanding or clear. I wanted to go with a matte look and clear would of made it super shinny. I just washed them and then did 3 light coats 15mins apart.

What I did too get a even spray on both was put them side by side and sprayed in even fluid motions.

Then I tinted the side markers also. just masked off with some newspaper and tape.

and they still lit up bright when on.

Good luck. Can't wait to see your rear :D

lol nah I stripped my PEGS and repainted them black. Took me all weekend lol

Lasted for almost a yr and half but my friend curbed them pretty well driving me home drunk so I sanded them down and laid some plastidip on them till I can afford a nice set of wheels :D

I think i'm gonna try the Plasti-Dip first just a light coat with 2 or so cans to see if I like them. Haven't yet decided whether I wanna do just the faces or the whole wheel....we shall see.

Mind you I lived in Pittsburgh, salt film/powder lays on there for a day or so before I was able to wash during winters all the time... I'm still happy.

Painted the truck though:

How does the tint look without the trim tho? is it wrinkled or crimped at all. Those seem to be the most error pron places with film cause of the curves of the lens.

Hmm, tails and sides look pretty damn good with the spray. Im definitely leaning more in the direction of spraying them now, just need to nut up and just do it.

It's easy and if it doesn't look good to you or too dark just put some acetone or paint thinner on it and scrub it off :D
