Hello to all!
On a 2002 S60 AWD with 59K miles, all of the non-body-colored moldings on the doors and front and rear bumpers are looking aged (rear bumper especially under the trunk area). That is, they are looking faded. I've seen similar-looking wear on various 2002-2003 models for sale on eBay and on cars at dealer auctions. Short of replacing all of the moldings ($650 in parts alone at a discount), is there anything that can rejuvenate them for longer than the first rainstorm (when a typical protectant gets washed off)? Can they be buffed out without losing their texture (if that would even do any good)?
Any suggestions are appreciated!

This is NOT my car but the bumper has the same type of fading (as does all the S60s I've seen with this fading). Almost looks like tree rings:

I have used "Showroom New" grey colour on my '96 850 about 2 months a go and it has held up well with no degradation. I bought it from IPD. It was easy to apply, the taping of the paint around the bumpers, rub strip and door handles was the most work. You can check my car out on Cardomain.
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3208399
Black Krylon Fusion (spray paint for plastics) did a great job on mine.
