WOW! Worked the kinks out of running the wagon Sunday, but when I tried to start up and go Monday, the engine would not run up or smoothly at all...I think it is possessed! Almost seems to run on two cylinders--REAL ROUGH. I disconnected the MAF, ran the same. Any ideas welcomed...It really was running good Sunday....
Thanks,
Scott

Modified by rsmelt40 at 5:22 PM 8-26-2009

Thanks for the post...I have dumped the MAF code and replaced the MAF, exchanged an ECM, and was attempting to set the timing last Sunday. Timing did not change (low) even though I rotated the distributor...ended up setting it back to where it was originally, it was running good when I shut it off...then the next day it did not want to run
AT ALL...bounced around, would barely run at any throttle setting, would not run up and clear...oh, I also removed the fuel injectors and cleaned the filters prior to it running well on Sunday...
Thanks

"...it was running good when I shut it off"
Sounds like a cold start problem.
Check the hot air flap and thermostat in the fresh air box, the throttle body and the flame trap/box.
George Dill

Re: (gdill2)

Turns out the fuel pressure regulator was leaking vacuum and when replaced, the troubles have gone away....
