Are these cross bar compatible with the raised roof rails? Volvo doesn’t specify roof rail type. Only says fits xc90 2016+

I have the exact same cross bars on my 2021 XC90 with the roof rail shown on the photo. Totally worth it. I think I paid $325 for them and they’re extremely quiet. Can’t hear any wind noise.

Do you have a Momentum with the raised roof rails rather than the flush roof rails on higher trims? If so, then these are the crossbars that are designed to fit the raised roof rails.

Just for clarity, the raised versus flush versions were originally differentiated by trim in early years (my 2016 Momentum has raised ones) but I believe later years, somewhere 2019+?, all went to flush. That's caused some confusion in other threads.

I thought I’d throw this in here in case anyone else was interested in OEM black load bars as opposed to the aluminum ones. My local dealer was nice enough to price match these to some of the online dealers, I paid $320 otd for the bars and $50 for the powder coating. I have an R design so would prefer black but like to stay with OEM where possible, turned out really well.

Those powder coated bars look great. I am also on the hunt for cross bars...and may just do this same thing.
