Hey,
TO anyone interested, Kai and I will be taking our 850's to the event at Carslile this weekend. We plan on leaving Saturday AM and returning whenever. I have had a few people from around the area ask if Swedespeed was going to have a presence there or not. George, do you plan on going? If you are, do you want to meet up with us before leaving so we can all follow eachother? Same goes for anyone else, we should all meet up and tag along w/eachother for the event and show the ricers some swedeish engineering. Also, I have heard that there is another "import" show pretty close to Carslile that may be worth a looking into. It is at the same time as Carslile, so a few of us can check it out and report back to see if one is better than the other or not...Anyhow, just a thought. Lets all get together and have some fun.

Here's what I think would work the best. Since you need to catch 15 north to get to the event, we should all meet in Frederick. There is an empty car dealership right off of Route 85 in Frederick where we can meet. From there Route 15 is only a few miles away. Here is how to get there...

Take 270 North to Frederick. Take the route 85, Buckeyestown Pike North exit. Follow the exit ramp and make your way towards the left lane. Just keep going down 85 North (buckeystown pike) past the Francis Scott Key mall, Sheets Gas station, Lowes Hardware, and Chrysler dealer (all on right side). Make a U-turn at the traffic light after you pass the Chrysler dealer and McDonalds. Make a right turn into the parking lot of the vacant auto dealer. You will see my red 850 and Kai's white 850 in the lot. In all it is about 1/2 mile off of the exit from 270. If you come from 70, take the 355 to 85 south exit. Follow it 2 miles or so and we will be on the right side just past the Days Inn. We should all meet about 9:00 am so we can get to the event around noon. Towerymt, this is easier to find than the parking garage where we had the GTG a few months ago. Maybe 20 min or so further north on 270. I hope to see everyone there. BTW, the time is not set in stone, if it is too early by all means say something, I'll be accommodating.

Sorry to hear that you can not make it. I would offer to take pictures for you but I no longer have a digital camera. Maybe next time. BTW, the event is Friday- Sunday. Maybe you can check it out Friday...
