Hey guys, im new here. im not a volvo guy truthfully. but i do have a question for you all: i have a problem, i need to sell a car and i dont know what kind of interest there is in this car. Its a 96 C70 imported from japan, so it should be a European Domestic Market car. It is Right Hand Drive as well. The car will be fully legal and registerable in the USA. is there any interest in this car? i think they all came with a 2.3 5cyl turbo engine, so this should have that too. let me know what you guys think. i will have detailed information by tomorrow. if you have any questions or advice for me, please post or Email me at [email protected] thanks a bunch!
Ryan

Re: RHD Volvo C70 (VolvoMax)

yea i was told it was like mid-late 90's probably a 96. i did more research and there are only a few 97's in europe and 98-on. i will be getting all the info on the car later today, and i will post up my results. the car wont be overpriced by any means, probably no more than a decent condition US model, if that. thanks
Ryan

Re: RHD Volvo C70 (RtsGVR-4)

Also we had a post form the guy in UK back a week or so ago. And he was looking for the COLD AIR INTAKE CHARGE TEMP SENSOR on his C70. At that time HE had a 2.0 I5 or so he said. SOOOOOO beware that ALL C70 do not in this case come with 2.3's as you suggested. Food for thought. Grey market is very hard to get techs to work on and parts for many times. Get real in tight with the UPS guys. And Japan parts houses that ship to teh USA.

Re: RHD Volvo C70 (Nato740)

good info, i had no idea. as for getting parts for it or having someone else work on a car, who would ever let someone work on your own car? i NEVER bring my own cars to a place ever, too many risks, unless im watching exactly what they are doing F that, i wont trust any tech ever. i have friends in the business i wouldnt let work on my car on the clock. i also have been through the parts searches, and it can be done, it may be hard to find some parts, but if its worth it to me, its gotta be worth it to someone else. that said, i cant say anything about the car until i have the info, i posted the thread to test the waters on the subject. He is sending me info later tonight or tomorrow. im not sure whats going on, but he said there might have been a mix-up, i will know whats up when i get all the detailed info. let you guys know asap! thanks
Ryan
