I JUST BOUGHT THE SERVICE LIGHT RESET TOOL FROM IPD, IT DOES THE JOB, BUT THE PRICE WAS INSANE 170DOLLARS!
I WANT TO POST PIC OF MY RIDE (LOOKS IDENTICAL TO THE VOLVO YOU SEE AT THE TOP OF THIS PAGE) WHEN I GET MORE FAMILIAR WITH DIGITAL CAMERAS....
PATRICK

Re: REPROGRAMMING ECU (PATRICK)

First of all, please release the "caps lock" button which is to the left of the key "A".
As for the ECU upgrade, maybe your neighbourhood mechanic can do it, but how do you know what kinda upgrade he is giving you? Did he stole it from someone or actually have a liscensed copy?

Re: REPROGRAMMING ECU (PATRICK)

From all the testimony on this board the IPD ECU upgrade is worth every penny extra over the cheaper ones. Remember you're tinkering with your cars brain that tells it how to live. Get a good Doctor, not Dr. Nick from the Simpsons! (Hello everybody!)
There is a couple of other good ECUs that others here have and can tell you that they are good, some others you just want to stay ten miles away from. Unfortunately there is no good cheap way around a quality ECU. Spend the dough or stick with stock, there is cheaper mods you can do first for a few horse power.
