According to a report published last night by CAR Magazine, the upcoming S90 and V90 Estate (and later V90 Cross Country) will utilize many design cues from Volvo's Concept Estate show car. Built atop Volvo's Scaleable Product Architecture platform, the upcoming cars are said to "have more impact" than previous Volvo models, according to Volvo Car UK's Managing Director Nick Connor.

The new car will see the benefits of Geely funding in other ways as well. Interior design director Robin Page has ported knowledge gained from time spent with Bentley, Rolls Royce and Bugatti to help make the S90 and its variants look and feel more upscale. The final design is said to be "very different and distinctive" when compared to those found in german luxury vehicles.

We expect to see the new Volvo S90 and V90 sometime later this year. In the meantime, check out the full article on CAR's website, here .
