Is replacing rotors in an R that hard? Is there anything I need to know before I take this on?

Thanks guys!

Very easy. Remove, clean, install.

I've never done brakes on a car before but I just did the parking brakes on the R and they weren't too bad. Fronts should really be a piece of cake. not counting the lugs there should only be three bolts to deal with. the two for the caliper (13mm IIRC) and the one 10mm that hold the rotor in place.

Ideally, that would be the case. The problem is that if the reverse side of the rotor hat has rusted, then you may have a heck of a time breaking it free. I overhauled my brake system a month ago and used this video to get a couple of my stubborn rotors off.

Also, look for replacement rotors with coated hats.
