I bought an XC60 that had a blower making a HORRID sound. That sent me down a dark path.
This video, while excellent, doesn't exactly apply to the XC60, because you cannot remove the air duct to access the driver's side of the blower:
Reading the following link made me think I had to remove the entire dash:

However, upon posting my issue to a facebook group, a mechanic told me it was possible to do without, and walked me through it over the phone. Anticipating it might help at least one person in the future, I've tried to summarize the processes in the following exceedingly low-quality video:
