Does anyone know what the stock HID temp is? I had to replace my Xenon bulbs, but the ones I purchased are not the stock temp. I am one of those Volvo owners that like to keep everything stock, but with minor upgrades that are tasteful and don't distract from the original beauty that the Swedish automaker has already made perfect :) The bulbs I purchased are 4200K, which I don't think was the stock bulb for Volvo's version of HIDs. I know that all the luxury manufactures use a specific temp for their stock HIDs. If anyone knows what the stock temp is please let me know. I prefer a more bluer hue, while the replacements I purchased are more white. Thanks everyone!!!

IIRC, the stock bulb is a 4300K. I replaced both of mine, bought Osram D1S (PN 66144), they ended up being a reasonable cost solution (~$70 for the pair). Some reference to this PN being 4150K, some reference to being 4300K. Takes a bit to "season" them to white, originally they'll look yellowish when lit. I ran mine with headlights solidly on for a few weeks and have had no regrets since as to color and brightness (although I did raise my lights 1.5 turns). Sure, you can buy 5000K, and certainly others have done it, but I thought to keep things more less stock.
