Hi everyone,

I want to change the wooden trim of my passenger side window switch.
I tried to remove it without removing the door panel, however it seems to be stuck.
The question that I have is, do I need to remove the doorpanel in order to remove the switch and trim?

Looks like one way to do it (door panel comes off)- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvp9Fc4amTk

Do an internet search (images) for "volvo xc90 pdm and ddm", you'll see a couple opened up and get a better idea of what you're prying on from the top. I think it may be possible but I recall that I tried something like this in 2007 (after I broke the passenger side mirror the first time) and it resulted in the back of the switch module not being fully seated in the door panel. So I think yes, panel off is best.

Thanks ggleavitt,

Finally found some time today and replayed the switch trim. It looked more difficult than that it really was. Within 15 min... the job was done...
