Does anyone know how difficult it is to replace the rear shocks on the volvo v70? I have good mechanical but I am intimitated by the spring that surrounds the shock does it have to compressed to be able to remove the shock? Any help would be great.<br>

Just unbolt the top and the bottom and drop it out. If you can't lift the car high enough, you may need to raise the rear suspension with a floor jack to get the shock out of there.

Mika's right. It's cake. Just jack the car up high enough, undo the top nut and the bottom bolt, and it drops right out. You can change both in about 15 minutes, including time spent putting your tools away and washing your hands. <br>
