[GAS60RMAN]

Was contemplating removing the resonator of my 04 R, how will this effect the tone of the exhaust, and will it also compromise my emissions?

The change was so subtle my wife didn't notice. A little deeper and more blurble when you let off the gas. Do it.

The only time I notice is upon startup when the car revs higher. I love the sound actually and I'm not a fan of loud cars at all. My wife has never noticed it either and normally she notices things like that.

Probably because you have a V. Exhaust is longer and cabin is larger = more resonating.

Not really.
Everyone has different hearing. What can sound like not much to you or sound good to you or I could sound noisy and irritating to someone else

The only difference I noticed was on cold startup, otherwise it has very little effect on sound.

As for emissions there should be no change. The resonator is basically a straight pipe with silencer wrapped around it.

It sooooo not a big thing...just do it.

Aside from a little more growl the only other side-effect I've seen is more 'popping' from the exhaust.

For the record, mine isn't nearly as loud as travzillas.





I'll let you decide which is before and after. Use headphones or speakers with a sub to get sound more true to real.

I love the dog's reaction in the first video... at first I was wondering if you were comparing the reactions of the two different dogs, until I saw that you left the car at idle in the second clip.

So I just got back from the Muffler shop, cut it off and like you guys said, the exhaust note has not changed much other than at start up. But its a nice sound atleast for the those few seconds.

Next I guess is getting an exhaust system... So I can gain atleast a little bit of HP.
