Anyone help removing the grille, without taking the front bumper/nose cone off completely ?
The grille clips in all around (I think) and I was able to access the top clips (on the back of the grille) by taking out the retainers on the top of the bumper so the grille was free at the top but I couldn't find a way to unclip the sides/bottom. I ended up putting it all back together again for the time being...
Thanks in advance (I hope !)

Heard it scream over the noise of 110km/h movement and I felt a loud thud (big truck behind so I couldn't slam on the brakes). Thought the grille or headlight would be gone for sure but there is just a little crack that I was going to inspect from the back to see if replacement warranted (then I guess I might put in a 2010 one in ?).
I am at 49,000kms so I think we are tracking at around the same km rate still. Going to trade before the EOY for the 50% extra tax deduction - and get one with the rear cupholders ? (I don't think the trade in price will make it worth the effort for me).
Cheers !
(and doesn't anyone know about this grille situation ???)

The front bumper needs to be removed in order to remove the grille.
see here - http://vccs.volvocars.se/acces...4.htm

Unlucky about the grill (also for the bird).
I am hanging onto my xc as well. It would appear your dealer told you the same sad news mine did re trade in. In any event its just too much to drop over a bit less than 2 yrs.
re the grill if it needs replacing i like the new grill better and the new steering wheel also. Its a bit smaller looks better.
Cheers
Hatdriver
