I have a broken retainer on one of my coil pack plugs, I got some plugs from a wreck but Dont know how to get the pins out of mine to put the new plastic on, I would cut and solder but suspect that may not be a good idea

I had the same issue and picked up a wire terminal tool kit.

Place the tool in the broken connector and pull out the wires and insert back into the new connector.

Or you can try two flat modified paper clips or something else to place in the top and bottom of the connector to free up the pins. Good luck.

edit:

I just checked, you don't have to pick up the entire kit.

This blue terminal tool will do the job.
