I find that the remote control and key design a little strange. Everytime when I go across uneven roads or humps, the remote control attached to the key will swing and hit the side of the ignition. In the quiet S60 this is unnecessary noise. Even my old car have the remote integrated with the key so that it does not have something dangling there to hit against the ignition side on uneven roads/humps. Anyone share the same feelings?

I think that Volvo needs to come up with some new type of innovative key design as well. The new keyless entry system for the 2002 Infiniti Q45 tops them all! It is the best design I have seen thus far!

-Drew

Here are some other nice designs also, my second favorite besides the 2002 Q45's, is the Audi Switchblade Remote/Key.

-Drew

I'll bet Volvo's remote is the only one that requires *two* presses to unlock the cargo area, as well. The design rational for that is lost on me.
- Darell

Darell,
Thanks for the compliment! A picture is worth a thousand words right? I am too lazy to type that many words.
-Drew

I put a slightly larger ring on the remote and it handles better. The included ring
was 'cheesy' in construction and once opened up separating the key from the remote. Now
its fixed.....notwithstanding general design
and utility.
