11000 on the clock- it hasn't seen a shop yet.. With exception of a cracked windshield angryfire: ) - so far a perfect owner experience!

Did it crack by itself?

No, a rock.. I do think that windscreens on these cars are a bit more fragile than on other cars I've owned..

You could be right.. The XC60 replaced a V60 (2012) and it had a number of chips on the windshield (I've done 180K kms with it..) but no cracks.. This one- 11000 kms - and I already have a crack.. Luckily I opted for the lowest deductible - so almost no money out of my pocket..

Here's another one for you- this one based on REAL DATA:
