I've finally gotten around to getting the tires taken off of my 17" Pegs and wanted to try my hand at refinishing the wheels myself. The problem is, with one wheel in particular, there is some extensive curb rash which I'm not sure whether I should try to take care of myself, or have a professional do it.<p>This is unknown territory for me - what compound should I use to fill the problem areas, what sort of sandpaper should I be looking for, and what are the stages of prepping/painting/finishing the wheels after that?
