Has anyone purchased an aftermarket warranty for the R?
The warranty on my car is about to expire within 4K miles and the cost of repairs for this car is just beasty.
As a matter of fact it is at the dealership now b/c one of the shocks failed...getting replaced under warranty but the cost if I had to cover it myself was around $850 ( $650 for the part and $200 for the labor) they told me the total cost would of been around $1K with calibration of the 4C and an alignment.
Not trying to pay those kinds of cost and I am betting that my car will be in the shop again with other expensive issues sooner rather than later. I would like to key the car for a few more years but reliability is an issue.
Which brings me back to my original question has anyone purchased an aftermarket warranty for their R if so were you satisfied with coverage/service vs. cost ?

Re: Recommendations for after market warranty for the R (MagoonR)

i have Zurich. Very good, never denied a claim, even covered a shock because the computer part went down not the actual piston thing.
I have the second to best one, the one below the comprehensive (comprehensive covers EVERYTHING, including TNNs and software upgrades/updates, while mine does not.)
Quite pricey, but apparently thats the same one Volvo sells? Thats what my service guy told me.
