My rear window defog isn't working on my '99 S80. Where is the fuse for it? I can't find it in the trunk fuse panel. Please help, my wife is threatening to take it to the dealer.

off hand i not sure where it is. but my defogger doesn't work i've been assuming it's the window mesh. do you know how to measure it?

I'm not sure what you mean by "measure it". I'm just assuming my problem is a fuse because the 'window mesh' seems to be all in tact and in good shape.

AFAIK the defogger is a heating element. you can/could measure the resistance to determine if there is a break in the mesh or not.

Did you ever solve this issue? I have same thing. 5 amp fuse good, but I don't know where a "relay" would be to check...

in the trunk fusebox the no 5 fuse Rear window defroster, relay 15I - accessories 5A

Yes. Apparently the power lead was disconnected behind the C-piller to the heating element. Works great now.

Glad you got that fixed without going to the stealership. They would’ve undoubtedly charged you out the yin Yang to fix something that wasn’t really broken. Congrats
