Hi,
My rear vision mirror is REALLY loose, mainly because of my sub's. I was just wondering if there was a way to tighten it. I noticed that the pin behind the mirror comes out a little (i can push it in and out) but because its flat wouldn't have a clue how to tighten it.

We replace those at the shop when they get loose like that. I have not found a way to tighten them.

Me neither. You're posting over on this part of the board but I see you have a 740 and not 850? If you have an 850 , then you could trade up to an auto dimming mirror for your car, and a new one would cost only about $50 from Borton or fcpgroton and kill 2 birds with one stone. I love my auto dimming mirror!

Call them and ask for part #9464006.
Your local dealer can get this for less too but they won't know what the part number goes to...very strange, but that's what everyone has been experiencing. The kit comes with all the wiring, mirror and installation instructions.

Instructions come with it, but yoiu have to take the light housing off anyway to get the old mirror out and the new one in...then you slide the wires down inside the head liner and out the A-post side. The A-post also has to come out...it's very easy. Wires plug in near your left foot, into the fuse/relay box. Instructions will show you where they go. About 15 minutes after you become familiar with the instructions.
