Bay 13 has a nice picture of the safe places to put a jack/stand in the front, what about the rear? I was trying to get under the car this past weekend and I wasn't sure where to put either, so I ended up crawling underneath without jacking it up, which wasn't fun (I was trying to route a wire from the battery to a trailer electrical kit near the rear bumper). I am paranoid about damaging the suspension by putting pressure on the wrong thing. Thanks in advance.
There is a diagram in your owners manual as to where to put jack stands. There should be a small bar where to locate the screw jack for changing a spare. I always jacked my Volvos from that location.

yes, I know where that is. But if I jack it there, where should I put the jack stands?

Once you jacked it up, place the stand where the lift pad is this picture.
