If you want to properly access them, you need to remove the rear shelf.
Re: Rear deck speakers and amp..Chinaonnitrous1 HELP (AthruC)

I want to do this the right way so please give me a hint on how best to do it.
You just remove the side cushions then remove the C-Post trim, fold down the back seats, lift the front edge so the clips release then pull the shelf up and forward. Unsnap the covers for the belt, unbolt the belts and remove.
Re: (adykes)

I am sure it sounds more complicated then it is. I will work on it this weekend if I haven't had to much http://********************/smile/emcocktl.gif

If you really don't care to dis mount all that crap.

Use some alligator clips on the rear speaker tinsel.

......

Its worked for 3 years.

Hahahahaha.
Re: (chinaonnitrous1)

LOL, I was crawling around in the trunk at lunch and couldn't see any wiring to hook into. I guess I am too use to doing installs on 60's muscle cars and not high end European sport sedans.

Re: (JoeLvo)

I believe it's the spot that the actual speakers get soldered to the wire leads.

Interesting idea - I was a bit worried about them grounding out on the rear shelf, but I guess not. You CAN see the posts from the trunk - I guess there's enough room to use an alligator clip

Yeap, just look inside the trunk, see the speaker itself, and you'll see 2 leads going to the speaker itself that actually will move/flex with the speakers movement.

This is GHETTO, almost to the point of whistle tips if an audio guru sees how you did it. But its worked over time, and honestly theres nothing wrong with it, except its the retarded lazy way to set it up. Its safe, and your speaker wont' explode.
I just just had some aligator clips wrapped in electical tape clamped on.

Its not much of a signal it needs to function, also make sure to suspend the wire you attach to the speaker in a way so it doesn't pull or tug on the speaker tinsel leads.

2+ years, and it still works. I personally will re-do my system appropriately pretty soon. Just gathering the rest of my upgrades before I rip out the whole factory system.

Re: (chinaonnitrous1)

Okay so I take the leads going TO the speakers and use them for the input on the amp, then connect the output from the amp to the speaker inputs right?
Re: (CM2RAS)

That sounds right. Except your using the tinsel as a lead to your Hi-Lo converter (or whatever the kids are calling them), and that converter then plugged into the amp. But I'm the last person you should listen to.

And plastic spinners.

If you buy em, I'll bolt them on.

Then we can return them to Kragen.
