Rear bumpers interchangeable?
I'm trying to find out if the rear bumpers between MYs such as the 04s are interchangeable with the 05s. For example, if I have a 04 can I take a 05 rear bumper and mount it on my car? Are the mounting points the same between MYs? TIA.

It's very difficult to tell, but the 04's are slightly different from the 05's and 06's. If you look at the rear bumper on an 05 or newer (where the bumper cover meets the rear quarter panel in the wheel well) you'll see an ever-so-slight angled step-out, whereas the 04's just go straight down with no step out.
If you want to put 05 bumpers on your 04, it can be done. The front isn't a problem, it's only the rear that poses a problem. You'll have to replace your 04 bumper cover mounts with 05 bumper cover mounts in order to get the bumper cover to mount properly. As long as your local retailer's parts department isn't completely inept, you should be able to order the mounts from them.

R Salesman, when you speak of switching out the bumper mounts are you referring to the rear or the front?
