I know this is supposed to be a safety feature to alert other drivers that may be behind you. But, does anyone know if there is a way to disable this "feature"? There are times when I want the trunk open at night while the car is parked and don't want the lights on.

Thanks.

You can bash them in prior to opening the trunk ;)

It would be cool to find out as well. Whenever I'm going out to a astrophotography session, they're bugging the hell out of my friends...

This my reason exactly. I like to keep my eyepieces, and charts in the trunk instead of on the ground.

They do shut off after a while.

You could always pull the connectors if you need them off in a shorter time.
