Hey, I have a quick question to ask you guys. Tomorrow I'm going to get tint, and I'm back and forth between 35% and 45%. I really don't know which one to get. I've seen S60's and other cars with both percentages and they all look good. I have tan interior, so that will make the tint look a little lighter from outside the car.
I'm not sure if you can tell from this picture, but what % tint do you think this is? This is basically what I'm looking for.

Re: (bpray9223)

I had that creamy white/tan interior in my last S60 and put 35% tints on it at first you could see right in the car after i went with 5% way too dark and illegal I would put like 20% it's a nicer look in my opinion. I have 5% now too go with the colors of my car. I will try to dig up an old photo of it with the 5% and the 35%.

Re: (bpray9223)

i think im gonna go with 20% back windows and rear. My car is black with dark interior should look a lot darker. I'm sure you would need darker tint with a light interior.

Yeah stealth I mean you see how dark the 5% looks
here is my 04 with 5% with dark interiorand dark exterior.

Keep in mind though in most states anything less than 30% is illegal so be careful.

And no stealth i'm not throwin my R in your face.LOL
And yes on my 01 I had rims that looked similar to pegs, had them before pegs came out though. had them in 02.
Anyway good luck with your tints fellas.
And just my opinion since you guys get touchy over on this side- I would go one shade on all windows,
I personally don't like the 2 different shades or the non tint in the front windows, to each his own though.

ARGH HE MADE FUN OF MY CAR! hahah jkjk man. I kind of wish I went the same tint with all windows too but NJ laws say rear tint can be as dark as you want and front no tint at all so I was trying to mimic an OEM tint look.

MA laws are 35% all around though most cops will only test the drivers window.
I got something like 35/28/18. I think

That's the only pic I could find for the time being.

35% is light enough to see your face through.
20% is light enough to see your silhouette
On a dark colored car, I think 20% is the way to go
My Cobalt had 20%, and I loved it!

This is my old car, it has 35% in the front, 20% in the rear (yes it has spinners haha)

Re: (Tiny)

Just remember, really dark tint is a PITA at night.
45% metallic here. Could/Should have gone a little darker, but this is PA's darkest legal option (Tho it's not strictly enforced) But it looks great in person.
BTW - sunroof panel is open in pic.
