Hey all, sorry if this has been posted before.

Last year I ran into an issue where MY02 V70XC Ocean Race ran into starter issues.

Long story short, the wire on the Starter Solenoid became corroded and loose and caused the immobilizer to not recognize my key (solid grey key) any longer after I disconnected the battery. My second key works but it's in bad shape.

The key still lights up electronics but will not turn over the igniton.

Is there a way to reprogram this key with the remaining active key? Or at all?

Note - this key worked without fail until this.

Thank you for your help.

There is no ground wire on the starter...

Sounds like the chip in the key is bad. It likely needs to be replaced. There isn't any programming you can do without VIDA and a subscription to do software downloads. So if you're paying for a download somewhere to try to reprogram that key, you might as well buy a new key since the only additional charge would be the cost of the key.

Updated the post - it was the wire on the solenoid. Was corroded and loose to the point of falling off.
