Holy cow!! That IS one fast GLT. How did you do it? That is pretty decent for the LPT. I didn't remember you had any ECU upgrade....

I did a 14.37 after a couple of runs in the 16s as the tranny upshifts during wheel spin and downshifts when it grips then loses traction and upshifts again.. I didn't turn traction control on though, wonder if it would've made any difference...

Re: Ran a 14.599 1/4 mile in a LPT 850 (The_one_n_only)

I had a hell of a time trying to find a ECU upgrade for my LPT. The only place that I felt I could trust was iPd.
Once the ecu came in I was having problems with the A/C not working, after the third time of sending it back the bugs were worked out
The stock ecu was boosting around 6psi and would spike at 8psi with the iPd ecu I would boost at 10 psi and spike at 12 psi. I then installed a boost controller and set it at 12 psi and over a period of time I have gone as high as 14 psi. I also have a custom exhaust and a K&N filter. plus a couple of other little things

What kind of muffler is that from your photo page and what are the specs for it if you don't mind me asking.

Hehe...I wonder if you throw in something like big bore TB and get an intercooler upgrade, what would that be like. Yeah, then you can go show these guys what's up. They would think twice next time before they try to translate what GLT stands for.
I'm really curious how far you can push with these engines. Some guy in TW got a pretty decent power 2.4T 850.

Re: Ran a 14.599 1/4 mile in a LPT 850 (The_one_n_only)

The 14.599 was with 93 octane and street tires. I spinning for the first 60' at the track. I wish I had 100 octane and drag tires then maybe I could do a 14.299.
Hey if you guys want to raise some money for me then I could get the TB and the intercooler upgrade!!J/K What I do plan to do next time I run, is a exhaust wrap and run a higher octane and then maybe run a 14.4 @96 mph

Remember my car has over 110,000 miles on it

The muffler and the race cat are made by mega flow. I wish I could tell you more about but I had it orderd for me so I don't know much about it. If you want I can take some measurements for you.

A set of those cheater's slicks should help, too. Just thought upgrades like IC and TB will be more subtle and less visible.
TW = Taiwan. Any info on the muffler would be appreciated...I notice you have the cross member piece removed in order to put a round muffler there, have you noticed anything "different" as a result of removing that? Thanks again.

pretty cool ...i have always wondered what a modded lpt would fair vs modded hpt. the lpt ramps up torque faster (altho at lower plateau) than hpt...my best time is 14.993 @ 93.115 mph. it is a wagon...is urs sedan or wagon? both cars at 13psi...interesting (mine not on mbc)...
r/t: 1.018 (need to work on that )
60': 2.423
e.t.: 14.993
mph: 93.115
@ searspoint

Hey thanks Jesse. The cross member is removed in the photots and the 4 studs that held it in place are not there as well. Maybe the studs were put in after the photos but the "original" cross member doesn't look like it would go back in place. I was curious if you noticed any increase in flexing of the chassis but maybe you haven't. Thanks in advance for any additional info you might have.

About the cross member I have not noticed any body flex in the car but I do have a strut bar. Besides I can't see how it would hurt, I don't run the car hard to notice any movement.

Steve, it's a sedan.
