I have a 2005 V50 T5 AWD that has the radio problem I saw discussed at length in an archived discussion. However, the software update did not solve the "frozen" state that it goes into when trying to change the station. My dealer even replaced the stereo and re-downloaded the software update (and put a nice screwdriver mark in the aluminum trim in the process). It doesn't freeze if I turn the radio off before turning off my car and turn it on again after starting the car. Has anyone else had problems even after the software "fix" is downloaded to the car? More importantly, does anyone have a solution?
It goes in again on Monday for the recall work, SSS problem, engine revving for no reason, slow clock (thought I was going crazy on that one until I saw the other posts along with the barking dog that I finally stopped looking for), and passenger foot light that won't turn off (feels like I'm in a limo, except that I'm the driver). No wonder they gave me a good deal on this car - the last 2005 on the lot.
Any help would be greatly appreciated by me and my dealer.

I got a issue with the radio myself shortly after explaining to someone else that their issue would be sorted by an update.
anyway mine was updated and still has issues... its going back on monday for that plus rattles and vibration when picking up
having said that, i had your passenger foot issue too. it turned out that where the shark fin aerial is for the radio... water had seeped through. that had shorted the cable/switch. now in that case the back passenger lights no longer turned on and the front footwell passenger remained on always.
they replaced wiring and various switches/modules and it was ok
