It's worth looking, at least. Should be four numbers.

Re: Radio code anybody? Need to disconnect my battery soon! (JRL)

Thanks JRL, but no you never mentioned this procedure to me before.<p>I found the answer today also on bay 13:<p>1.) Find the radio code first – then remove the radio by pressing in the little latches on the side so they pop out and you can pull the unit out. Undo the connectors and pull out the antenna.<p>2.) Start disassembly with the knobs – they pull straight off. I had to pry a little with cardboard under the little screwdriver so I didn’t mark the faceplate. Remove a screw on each side in the black plastic track closest to the faceplate. On the top and bottom of the radio you will need to pry the faceplate off the metal frame of the radio. If you go gently, you’ll be able to see where it’s clipped on. This is a very complicated plastic part so you really don’t want to hurry and crack it.<br>

BTW: Find out where your Volvo has been serviced. In my case, I'm the 3rd owner. I just called the shop where the car has spent its past life and they happily gave me the code...

Just to reiterate, you probably don't want to start disassembling your radio for no reason. That could prove to be a headache.

Re: (Big Will)

mine is written on top of the radio (6655 ftw). i have to take mine out regularly and spray the volume knob with electronics cleaner to get rid of the scratchiness and static when changing the volume.

It's simple. All you have to do is start at 0000 and work your way up. When it locks you out wait a while and resume. You'll find it within a few months.<p>Or just do what JRL has said.<p>
