Another question for R owners. I bought my car CPO from a dealer. They had some cheesy coating on the wheels to emulate the original finish. Apparently all the wheels had curb rash and were refinished. The problem is that after weekly washes for the last 9 months the finish is coming off of the outer lip. Any ideas on a finish that will last. Has anyone powder coated etc? Thanks for the help.
Regards,
Mike

Powder coating will give the best finish, and it will be very durable. I painted the wheels on my 240 with spray paint meant for wheels, and I'm only expecting a few years before they start to look ugly again. Powder coating is definitely the way to go, and I would have done it if my wheels were in better shape to begin with.
