Has anyone had a car with suede leather seats? I am seriously considering R-Design (simply beautiful) but very concerned about its suede leather seat durability and maintenance requirement compare to regular leather seats. This car will be primarily used by my wife and two little ones. Should I just stick with regular Charcoal leather? I am planning on keeping this car for 10+ years.

It's Nubuck and it has held up well after 1 year in my V60. It's cool in the summer, warm in the winter, grips nicely on spirited drives.

Need to be careful with maintenance. I use Volvo's Nubuck cleaning pad which has a slightly sticky surface to pickup any debris.

Overall I'm very happy with the material and the Volvo sport seats!

I'm curious how Nubuck holds up with dogs especially dog hair?

I don't have a dog but get the occasional dog hair on my seats after visiting friends with dogs. The cleaning pad helps to pickup the hair so no problem there.

If I were to have a dog in my car it would be in the V60 cargo area or the rear seats with the Volvo S60/V60 rear seat cover. Other SS members have dogs in their V60's with Nubuck.
