Do our R cars' front and rear wheels' have track widths equal?
I ask, because if one puts 10mm spacers in the front and 15mm in the back, would not the track of the car be different?
I presume the addition 10mm/15mm is to correct the appearance of the car only, and that if the body were removed, the front and rear track widths are really the same.
Thanks.

Re: R cars front and rear track widths equal? (Mash)

Quote, originally posted by Mash »

I believe that the "trac width" is the same. Staggering spacers from front to back (10mmF-15mmB) Will be just fine. I run the same spacer setup in the winter. It looks great and it hugs the corners a little better. I hope this helps, Rick

According to Volvo's web site, V70R's front track width is 60.8" and the rear track width is 60.2"...
So converting to mm =
Front= 1,544.32mm
Rear= 1,529.08mm + 15mm spacer = 1,544.08mm
By my calculations, this equals out the track widths within .24mm
Not too bad!

Most, if not all FWD cars have a wider front track and don't be fooled, the R IS a FWD biased car
