Now that method is something I could do. I will have to contact them and see if they are still loaning the tool. If not, I will have to get them replaced by someone :(.
See I’d still do it myself. Yeah it’s a pain, but I don’t trust that someone else won’t use the “don’t need this to last” method and mess something up, and with the money saved doing it yourself, you can buy the Volvo tool to do it the right way.

Thinking about replacing my rear camber arms at the same time as my wheel bearings, as I'll need an alignment anyways. Does anyone have part numbers for the new bolts required for the rear upper control arms?
Are new bolts required? I just reused mine when I installed adjustable arms on mine, but if they should be replaced, I'll get those swapped out

Those of you who have the 320mm caliper upgrade for the front, do you like it / find it to be worth it? In the works of getting a pair...
I stuck with my 300mm fronts because it was cheaper and I just got really good pads for it. Then again, I don’t track it, so I’m sure if you did it would be worth it. I'll probably upgrade next time I need pads/rotors

HOLD ON!, you car should have 320's from factory. What happened there?
Yeah no idea. That's what I thought too, until I got a set of 320mm Yellowstuff pads from EBC and they were clearly too big to fit. Got stuff for 300s and it fit perfectly.

That's weird. All T5 AWD M66 S40/V50's supposedly came with 320's from factory. Then C70's somewhere in 2010-ish started coming with them as well (mine came with 300's)

If you have a VIDA/Dice, try checking the car configuration data that's stored in the CEM, Right there will tell you what with which brakes the car came out from factory.
Mine's a T5 M66 FWD. Wonder if that's it?
Too big as in length, width or thickness?
Thickness and height. Clearly meant for 320s, and mine are clearly 300s
I've seen 320mm pads in 300mm brakes. they're thicker, the pads extend past the rotor and almost collide between themselves if they're too worn down
One side went in, but the caliper wouldn't close because they were too tall and thick for the 300 calipers

My car is a base model, so I have to guess that is why it wasn't equipped with the 320mm. My dad's 2011 C70 also had 300mm, not 320mm.
It honestly seems kind of random which cars have them and which cars don't, especially for C70s and C30s

Thank you!, does it have a resistant finish? on mine I used VHT caliper spray paint, and it's somewhat "resistant", but it wasn't enough to resist scratches from the retaining spring when I installed it. It holds fine with a plastic brush though.....
I had a similar experience with VHT. Did get a really nice color though - the R blue. Looks great even if they are only 300s LOL
