This sat I'm going to install the SNABB pipe and Viva CBV with new silicone lines. While I'm in the area I am going to check and possibly adj. my wastegate. I'm going to stay within factory specs, but prolly adj towards max. Has anyone adj theirs with any positive results? If you did what did you set it to and did it run lean? Tia

What's the benefit of the Snabb intake pipe? That little thing really equal any performance gains,or is it just deeper tone?

It flows a little more air around 30 cfm i believe. You get a little better throttle respose and someone tested it not too long ago and gained 7hp on the dyno. You cannot feel 7hp for the most part but there will be some gain. I imagine it helps with flow as you start modding your car more as well

The CBV unit is where your going to get the most bang for your buck and especially with the snabb take...you can definitely hear the big WOOOOSHH compare to stock setup...I did the same setup as urs...and works flawlessly...the only thing i never did was adjust the wastegate...im scared to do it...lol

Yea I was kinda hoping for a big WHOOOSH. I ordered the Elevate AMS and hood grill too, but it's not gonna ship for a couple weeks.

Why don't you think it was done properly? The piston on the new CBV is covered in grease. You say add more?

This is why I'm determined to do this job as a group effort.

Anyone in the DC area want to group this? I have all parts already [and tools, methinks]. Many hands make light work!

Many hands won't help you in this part of the engine, maybe once you get frustrated someone else could take over for a few minutes, but ultimately I don't think an extra hand will really speed up the amount of time it will take you.

What if that person is smaller and skinnier than I am??

I'm 6'3'' and 270... [yeah yeah, I'm trying to get into shape...]

Also heard one can rotate the turbo housing to make it easier to get to the cbv. Anyone have pics/write up/vid of this??

I know you could with the TD04 series turbos used in the old T5's and lpt engines, it was really more trouble than it was worth unless somehow the little dimple that holds the compressor side of the turbocharger in place has been shaved off already. I am not sure if you can with the KKK24 though.

But YES if you know someone willing and they are small and skinny then get them! The smaller the hands the better. I'm 5'8" 160 lbs and even I really struggled.

Add a shim to stock CBV. It does the same thing as upgraded.

I couldn't wait till sat to install. Started at 2 and was finished at 5. It wasn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I didn't have time to adj. my wastegate but new lines, CBV, and SNABB was a piece of cake.

Some were on here talking about greasing the new CBV. Is that really necessary?

It comes pre-greased but I put a little bit more on there after testing the actuation before installing.
