I have Factory OEM xenon low beam (halogen hi) in an 05 s40 t5
can I replace both sides with regular halogen assemblies without a problem? I assume I will need to disconnect the ballasts, but is there any other issue?

Why would you want to do that?

I am assuming because of the cost associated with Xenon bulbs vs Halogen- I have no idea about what you have to do btw lol

I've just had to fit some new xenon bulbs... No issue in price: €59,90 for two original new OEM parts. They use less fuel and are on all the time when I drive (the last 140.000 km aka 85.000 miles). Even the ignitors aren't expensive...

Hi again. It's mostly because I have one headlight that is out - can't figure out what is wrong. Ballast, ignitor, and bulb are all good. So something in the headlamp assembly is kaput. A new one is $800 CDN$... I can get 2 new halogen assemblies for $300.

...sigh...
