Adjusting the wastegate should take away a little of the lag, but ultimately the ECU controls the boost unless you get a MBC and set the boost yourself.

Yeah, I have 3 full turns on mine. The car pulls a little better during a dead stop but that's pretty much it. The lag is still there but that's what you get for having a turbo. I don't know how it's going to handle in the cold, I doubt it should change.<p>Oh yeah, I polished my heat shield while it was off too.
