question about the offset

When I've buy my my 06 XC, there were snow shoes on OEM 16" wheels.

For summer, I've look for 18, and now 17 ", for a great compromise between confort, look, handling, and price. But, as I can read, all the OEM wheels from Volvo have a 49 mm offset, and the wheels I've just buy have a 38 mm offset.

How I can manage that? Do the wheels gonna be too outside the car, or, as I can understand, they going to be inside, and I'll have to put a spacer to get right in place (or a little bit outside).

They're going to stick out further 11mm more. On a stock height XC you should have no problems but there's only one way to find out http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

Hello, looking at 38 offset as well, curious how it worked out for you?
