Question about Brake Squeal on new pads

So I recently put a new set of OEM front pads on since the old ones were getting down to the end of their life. I put a little of that anti-squeal goo on the backs of the pads when I put them in, but nothing crazy. Should I have been more liberal as they are starting to squeak a bit during braking?

They don't squeal all the time...just now and then. I seated them properly and everything...any advice?

Thanks

Man i dont know why i took mine to the dealer months ago for the excessive brake squeel, but all they did was charge me for a brake inspection and sprayed some stuff on them. They would haev to charge me 135.00 to actually take the brakes apart and check..

cliffs... they told me squeel is normal and thanks for your 65.00 bucks!!

WEARD!!!!!!! mine are SUPER QUIET!!!!! i love them iv never had a problem, BUT!!!
I used the HOLE tube of that copperlub crap
AND!! i use a wire brush (About the size of a tooth-brush) and when i remove the pads 1 side at a time i clean the ENTIRE inside of the calpers like were the pad metal rests maybe thats the ticket.

I think you guys are not cleaning the leftover "resadu" the pads leave inside the calpers so id start there and see what happens.

Usually if the new pads aren't bedded to the rotor surface or the rotor surface is glazed they'll squeal.

Scuff up the rotor surface to give it some "bite" then a few controlled stops from 50-60 mph to zero should do the trick. Don't slam on the brakes hard with the intent to kill them--just brake with enough pressure to prevent ABS from kicking in. Also allow the rotors to cool a bit between stops or you'll glaze them and be right back at square one. http://********************/smile/emthup.gif
